7th grade!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot wait until I get to go into 7th grade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I already have my list and I can't wait to go!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Mrs Tubergan for encouraging me to believe in myself!!!!!!!!!!  I hope to see you next year!!!!!!!!

What I learned in Sixth grade

What I learned in Sixth Grade is that you need to be respectful of others and to not bully. We had a lot of lectures of bulling and we all learned to not bully each other. In math we learned about equations and more. In Science we learned about mass, matter, and more. In Social Studies we learned about all of the Western Hemisphere. In Language Arts we learned about sentence fluency, ideas, and organization.

Bulling is bad and we learned about it almost every class and had meetings about it. I learned that bulling is unacceptable and that we need to treat it as a serious matter. We can't mess around with it or someone can get hurt. In reading we have AR in the beginning of Language Arts other times we do Journal. In reading we read a lot of different books like Esperanza or RULES. That is what I learned in sixth Grade.

What I liked about Sixth Grade was our teachers, our teachers are very nice. I also liked science, because science is my favorite subject. I liked doing all the projects because they are one of my favorite things to do at school. I also liked Language Arts because it wasn't to hard or to easy. I liked doing the passport at the end of the year in Social Studies. That is what I liked and learned in sixth grade.

Esperanza response

What would Esperanza do for spring break?
     What I think she would do for spring break would be helping work a little bit. Maybe she would play with Isabelle and they could look after the babies. On Monday she would help with the work. On Tuesday she would play with Isabelle and the babies. On Wednesday she might go to work again or play with the babies and tell Isabelle stories of her old life in Mexico with all of her valuables. On Thursday she could go play with her friends and talk about Marta and how she is making her other friends to go on strike. And on Friday she could get ready for the next day of working. 
      My spring break I didn't do much. I seen the movie Hop on Tuesday. On Sunday I went to the Sugar Bear. I got Superman ice cream and we brought Taylor Duane, Max, and my little brother Ben. That was pretty much all we did but I had a blast! When Taylor came over she and I played with a tarp and it seemed like a parachute! So I showed her all of our animals and we helped my mom get the tarp out of her truck. 
    Well the difference from my spring break is that Esperanza did more things and was a little bit busier than me. 

Who is Mitch Albom?

Mitch was born on May 23, 1958 in Passaic, New Jersey. In his early 20's he volunteered to work for a weekly newspaper. In 1995, he married Janine Sabino. The same year he re-encountered Morrie Schwartz. A former proffeser dieing from ALS. And that is how the book was made called "Tuesdays with Morrie". The book is shown below:

Wondering about..............

One thing that I am wondering about is CHICAGO!!!!!!!! How long will we be at the museum? How long will we be at the aquarium? What do our t-shirts look like? How long will we be on the bus? Who will I sit by? Who will be in my group? Where will we eat dinner at? What will I pack for my lunch? What will I bring? What will I watch on the t.v? Will I buy anything? What exhibits will I see? What will I learn about?

I have a lot of questions but I don't know where they went in my head!!!!

Michigan test scores are going down (WZZM 13 website)

Summary:
Investigators are searching for a reason why Michigan test scores are so low.  Not only is it Michigan it is Arizona, Colorado, California, Florida and Ohio all have low test scores. 66 schools all have low test scores. 


Opinion:
Well this is sad. I live in Michigan and a lot of people I know have very good test scores. Also I have good scores. It seems nobody in my classes have a that low of a score to have investigators come out and find the reason why. I really hope this improves and thank you for reading.

I am going to Shedd aquarium and the Field museum in Chicago.

My trip to CHICAGO!!!

On March 11, 2011 I will be going to Chicago. I will be visiting the Field Museum and Shedd aquarium. I wonder what kind of fossils we will see and the skeletons of dinosaurs? I wonder what kind of animals will be there? I wonder what kind of exhibits will be in both of them.  I have never been to Chicago so it will be amazing to go.

I have a lot questions about Chicago but it wouldn’t be much of a surprise is I knew what we are going to do. We will learn about some of the animals in the tour at the aquarium. There could be Dolphins, Sharks, Whales, Sea otters, Sea lions, Turtles, Crabs, and many other animals could be there too! In the museum we could see fossils, big bones, tiny bones, skeletons, tiny skeletons, chocolate (there is a chocolate exhibit), human bones, and many other thnigs too! I can't wait to go to.............................

Sixth Grade Conferences

Well at my sixth grade conference I hope Mrs. Tubergan will tell my parents that I am doing well. I think I am a pretty good student, but I have to quit laughing at my class mates when they tell a joke. I hope that Mrs. Tubergan knows that I am a good student. I really hope she tells my parents that. Mostly I turn in my work and try not to get in trouble. Sometimes I just can't help it, though. 

Most of my assinments are turned in and have a good grade. I have only been sick a couple times and enjoy going to school. I also hope that the conference goes well and that I get a good report. I like turning in my work because then I fell proud of myself and get a good grade. I think I am doing pretty good in L.A., Science, and Social Studies. I am not sure about the other subjects though. I turn in my work a lot latley. I also need to work on taking notes, not talking, and others. The one thing that I hope the most is that I have a good SIXTH GRADE COFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  

Valintine folktale

Once a boy, who lived in a small village. Watching one person. Valite. He loved her but she never noticed him. All he had to keep him company was a majestic eagle. That soared above him where ever he went. The boy practically called the eagle his brother.

He named him Vat. It meant majestic eagle. One night the boy, called Gaden, couldn’t sleep. He got up and walked around. Then Gaden and Vat saw Valite. Vat flew over to her and cawed and kept looking toward Gaden. She looked at Gaden then back at Vat.

The next day was called “Mating” for humans. Everyone thought that Valite was the most amazing girl in the village. She could carry 5 buckets of water and 3 bags of corn.  The eagle flew over everyone and dropped dust, then whispered something to Valite. She whispered back to him. Vat flew away and continued dumping dust over the ragged village.

Everyone was going to pick until one person was missing, Valite. She walked out of her hut and started to find the guy she wanted. All of the boys lined up. She looked back and forth, but did not see him. She looked in the back and did not see him. She looked threw the huts, not there. She ran around the hills until she seen a boy sitting by a tree sobbing his eyes out.

It was Gaden. “Gaden!” She screamed. “I pick you!” She hugged him and he surprised. She told him to stay there until she told him to come. She stood on the top of the hill and said “I haven chosen!” “Gaden come here!” She whispered. “Gaden!” Gaden popped up. Everyone clapped, his mom cried his sisters jumped for joy and so on.

The story of Gaden, Valite, and Vat continued until Vat died. Their love still went on. Gaden and Valite’s grave was put next to Vat’s. They still lie there today.             

Gas Explosion Rocks Ohio Countryside!

Summary: A gas pipe line explosion shook the eastern side of Ohio. Thursday, the day after the gas explotion in Pennsilvania. As shown in my older posts. Police say there was no signs of injurys. The explosion was at 10:30 p.m. Only one of the houses was damaged.


Opinion: My opinion is that this is tragic for this to happen. Also it is ironic that this explosion came right after the one in Pennsilvania. I hope that the house will be rebuilt and the people have a place to live.

One Dead, Five missing (News story)

A natural gas explotion happened in Pennselvania and 1 was found dead and five came up missing. Eight homes will be lost and 16 homes will be damaged. The nieborhood blew up Wednsday at 10:45 p.m. Someone thought that they where under attack. I think this inncident is very tragic. All the main gas factories was closed down in that area. 500-600 people evacuated.

I hope that the five missing people are safe. Let everyone who evacuated have no injuries and be safe. And most of all who ever died. Rest In Peace.

My GAME plan

This year for my GAME plan I am going to listen better take a lot more notes. I am also going to have a schedule here it is.

My GAME plan for last semester

I said:
       My goal this year is to get better grades and this is how I will. I will take better and more notes then I did last year. I will study more and stay organized. If I keep all my stuff together and leave it there then I might have a better chance of finding it and what I need to do. All that I really have o do is study and stay organized.  My GAME plan was not easy though. No I did not achevie my goal. Maybe my GAME plan will be better this semester!

Ghosts before time

A Women who sees ghosts checks herself into a mental institute, not realizing that the facility has been closed for thirty years.

One day a women named Robin went to a mental institute and never realized that it has been closed for thirty years. Whenever there was a ghost around, she had visions. Not like normal visions, or like day dreaming, they would happen. Like one time a ghost lost her baby she never found her. Robin found the father and asked him where she is. They found her.

She came upon the institute and walked inside. A vision, a man was holding a knife up to a women's neck and was about to slit it. The man dropped. He had a knife in his gut. The vision stopped. "Who's there?" Robin said slightly. "I can help you! Just come out I'm not here to hurt you I want to help!" Robin knew there was a ghost. She just knew it.

The ghost appeared in front of her. "You must  find him!" "Find who?" Robin asked. "My husband! I need him to survive!" The ghost disappeared. Then reappeared behind her. "What is your name?" Robin whispered. "Kali Danna." She whimpered so quiet. Then she really disappeared.

Robin walked home and kept thinking "Kali Danna. Kali Danna. Kali Danna!" She remembered. Kali Danna was in her fifth grade class and after school she got married with Dave Crawford and died in a car crash. "But where does Dave live?"

When Robin got home she went to her computer and looked up "Kali Danna". She found her on the computer, but it never said she got married. "What the................."Then she looked up "Dave Crawford". It said he was about to get married but then when his fiance was going to the store to pick up the cake died on the way back. "Found it! Copy, open word document, and paste, last but not least, print!" Robin walked over to the printer and the paper read "Washington, Seattle 98th street Woodland drive".

Robin was on her way there when she had the same vision. She pulled over and said "Kali come out I know you are there!" "May I? May I....... ride.... with you?" Robin nodded her head slowly. They got back in car and drove to Washington. They reached Washington, They found where he lives. "Kali, just stay here." Robin went up and knocked on the door and there was Dave.

"Robin! It has been so long!" " I know, but your wife's here." "What?! You see her!" "She needs you to survive. Kali Come in!" "Kali will always be with me! In my heart. And i hope i am in hers." "You are in mine! And i will always love you!" Robin went back outside and so did Kali and Dave. "It is time for you to go into the light!" She was gone.
