The Twins of Life
By: Roxanne Jackson
Once during a school day two girls named Alexa and Alex where getting their things out of there lockers. They where in all of the same classes together and stat by each other. See, all of the teachers sit them by there last names so they sit by each other. Most people think they are stupid and immature. They think they are stupid too, but they are wrong. Alexa has a purple, pink color of hair, has green eyes, and wears a t-shirt and a plaid shirt with knee socks. Alex has a light pink color of hair, dark pink eyes, wears ruffle filled shirts, jeans and likes to be curious.
Alexa and Alex went over to their friend Olivia’s house. Olivia’s parents are rich so she gets almost anything she wants. She has frizzy blond hair, red eyes, usually has a bow in her hair, and mostly wears a red and white dress. “So you want to go outside and study?” Olivia asked. “Sure!” Alexa slowly said. So they went outside and sat on Olivia’s trampoline. “Hey what’s that?” “Lets go check it out!” Alexa and Alex exclaimed. “I’ll just stay over here!” Olivia shouted as she didn’t want to be a part of it. They slowly walked toward it. “It’s a……………..”
“It’s a…………….. bottle cap?!?!” They looked at it in so many ways hoping it was something more. Out of no where a man with black gloves put helmets over there heads so they couldn’t talk, he had rope and tied their hands and feet. He threw them in the back of a truck and closed the lid. Alexa managed to slip her feet free and took off her helmet and Alex’s off. Alexa took her feet put it in between her hands and snapped the rope. Alexa untied Alex but then the truck stopped. The man came around to the end of the truck and opened up the lid. Alexa grabbed her helmet and threw it.
The man grabbed his head in pain. He threw the girls into a box and tossed them into a river. He was mumbling but Alexa could sort of make out the words. “They are gone! Ha! Ha!” “I have my liter in my pocket!” Alex said with amazement. “Give it to me. I have a plan. We can use the liter to make a hole in a box!” “But we might be underwater” Alex pointed out. “Well, we can hold our breath and hope for the best!”
Alexa took the liter, flicked it on and started burning the wood. Water started leaking in and they just kept cutting. Alexa only had to cut a little bit more when “Stop!” Alex had screamed. “Why? Don’t you want to live?” “No, do it slower. The water is up to my neck.” Alexa and Alex held their breath and swam out of the box. They reached land and sat on a big boulder.
Alexa went out in search for food so they could have lunch and go back to Olivia’s. Alexa came back with 5 berries, 10 nuts, 3 bananas, and fresh water from a mountain stream that she filtered. “Wow how did you carry all of that food?” “I found a fishing net next to the stream.” Alexa hauled all of the food over next to the boulder. As they munched down on all the food they talked about what had happened that day. “I wonder why that man captured us?” “I don’t know but he has some problems.” After most of the food was gone they put the rest in the fishing net and hauled it behind the boulder. They walked over to where the truck stopped but they did not see.
Alexa walked a little further and found a Smiles napkin. A Smile is a chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry swirl with double fudge dip and coated with any topping. On it, it said “They are gone and the short blond girl is next!” “Olivia!” Alexa and Alex screamed. They ran around screaming “Olivia where are you!” They reached the trampoline and stood on it so they could see better. “Olivia!” They ran all around town looking for her.
Lastly they looked in the school. School, when its not opened, not cool. They ran all over the school and looked everywhere. Next they looked in the gym. No Olivia. Bus line? No Olivia. Stage room? “Olivia!” They ran down the isle screaming Olivia. They walked up on stage, and what did they see Olivia saying “Oh price, I will miss you!” She was in a play and it was live in front of thousands of people. That is the last play they will ever be in.
